    Value exhaust, zero compromise
I've been scratching my head for months on what exhaust to purchase, went through a list of HKS, GReddy, Invidia, and so on. Until i started talking to fteightysix and they pointed me to the MXP SP. I wanted that exhaust very much, but i didn't want to drop that much cash. So i ended up with the COMP RS.

And i don't regret my choice at all...the exhaust fit really well, you can adjust everything...every freaking thing. Zero Cabin Drone, and it isn't obnoxiously loud, neither is it quiet like the Q300. It's an optimal balance between value, performance and level of maturity. Worth every penny, and i'm very glad to have bought this over the other brands.

    Amazing Quality & Sound
This exhaust looks and sounds amazing. After coming from an SP Elite axle-back, I wanted something louder, but affordable. For a full cat-back, the price is amazing. Install was easy and no extra bolts or gaskets were needed. ***JUST REUSE THE DONUT GASKET*** Fitment was on point and the adjust-ability blows other exhausts out of the water.

Sound-wise, this thing is on par with the Invidia N1 cat-back system. I did not opt for that particular style exhaust because I wanted a more straight-tip rather than an angled exhaust. Freeway sound isn't too bad neither. Do keep in mind that your significant other and/or your neighbors might hate you from a cold start in the wee hours of the morning.

I was worried after the install because where the mid-pipe and axle-back joins, it does look like it dips pretty low. As my car is slightly lowered, it looks as though it will scrape if I were to hit an unexpected dip in the road, but so far I've been fine. It just looks that way because you're getting rid of one giant muffler. I guess I am just being nit-picky. This exhaust isn't the lightest thing in the world neither. The axle-back portion is pretty hefty, but its not bad. If anything, it helps balance the weight.

Overall, I highly recommend this exhaust for anyone that is looking for a throaty, beautiful and affordable exhaust with adjust-ability like no other. Install was a breeze and should not be intimidating at all for anybody that's never touched an exhaust (No instructions are provided and if you think you need instructions for this install then you are thinking harder than you should my friend). Sound quality is music to my ears.

    Excellent Exhaust For The Price!
I was looking for a good quality but inexpensive catback system and the MXP Comp RS fit the bill. I love how you can adjust the different lengths of the tips to get that perfect fitment. Sound is decent, a little bassy and smooth with a slight drone. I wish it was a little more throaty and aggressive but im sure when I upgrade my header and front pipe the sound will gain some grunt. Overall, I can't complain for the price! Thanks to FT Eighty Six for the great service!

Not as loud as I was afraid it would be.
Recently got an FR-S and been looking for a catback that wasn't too loud and raspy (used to own a honda lol).  Was looking for one that was on par with the Borla but heard some quality issues with them so no thanks.  Anyway, I was recommended the MXP Comp RS.  After a quick research I found that it's noise level was comparable to that of Invidia N1s which were considered to be on the loud side and so I was kinda reluctant to go with the Comp RS (keep in mind I've never heard the N1 in person but just read online that they were).  I was more concerned about the loudness from the outside an not wanting to disturb the neighborhood and attract the police lol since it's a daily driven vehicle.  Anyway it looked sexy and I didn't want to leave without an exhaust and it was sitting right there in front of my face and the RS fit my budget so I pulled the trigger.  I installed it as soon as I got home fired it up and wow this sounded amazing!   You can definitely hear the exhaust from the inside but not annoying at all!  My Girlfriend and kids approve the inside noise thinking it actually sounds cool lol.  To my surprise it is not that loud from the outside.  Has a nice bassy tone to it and not raspy fartcannny lol sounding and i'm totally relieved that it sounds this good.  FYI I have a drop-in filter and a silicone induction pipe and everything else stock and this setup sounds really good.  If you are planning to go with an aftermarket header and test pipe I'm afraid that pairing them up with this MXP Comp RS might be too loud TBH.

    Good Product, Good Deal
This exhaust system has a nice deep sound and looks great. I have this paired with an Injen intake and they sound perfect. Sound is not annoying or ricey at all. Did this install on my own and was easy, minimal tools required. It would help to have someone there to assist but you don't need two people to install. No instructions are included but you honestly don't need them, it's really simple to figure out the install.

    Great sound
Cold starts are a little loud, but the sound mellows out to a nice low rumble.  Sounds great on the road.

    Perfect
Recently bought this exhaust and could not be happier. I was afraid of it sounding to ricey, but immediately after installing it and starting it those fears went away. I just ordered an Injen intake as well, and hope that it will work great with this exhaust to make a great induction and exhaust note. Has that classical Subaru piston-slap during a cold start and it just sounds amazing. Highly recommend this to anyone who wants an exhaust that has a noticeable tone, but is normal and not obnoxious when just cruising around town. Install literally maybe took me an hour to do, don’t think you need to have a million tools and people to do this job. FTEIGHYSIX for the win!!

    Great price, GREATER sound
If you're looking for a nice deep sounding catback for a great price...this is the one. It sounds amazing on the start up and goes down to a smooth rumble. Once you start moving it wakes up again and gives you that deep rumble you're looking for especially in the 2,600rpms-4,500rpms. I've had this catback with everything else stock for a few weeks now and get complimented at least once a day. Very satisfied.      P.s.: watching videos on this catback doesn't do the actual product justice at all, speakers can't replicate how great this sounds

    High Quality, Affordable Exhaust
High quality piece, looks good sounds even better!  Nice low, aggressive rumble tone...depending on how you drive it'll be heard when you want it to, and in the background when you don't.  Very minimal drone while at speed.  Great system at a great price.
Also, there is no better place to buy then from www.86speed.com!  Excellent selection, customer service, and great prices.

    Best decision
I originally had a Tomei Type 80R single exit, I loved it but it was a bit too loud. So I was searching for a system that was a bit quieter and decided to go dual this time around. Viewed a few videos and sound clips. I was dead set on this especially the price. The exhaust system is well made, and once i installed it and started my car up, I knew I made the right choice for myself. Nice Deep tone like I wanted and loud but not obnoxious.

    Good bassy tone
I really like the sound of the mxp. It makes the car have that bassy tone. Around 1,800-2200 rpm it crackles and pop a lil bit.  It’s worth buying!

    Gotta love it
So I purchased this in tandem with the MXP UEL Header and Overpipe combo, and installed it at the same time as a set of Torque Solutions motor mounts & transmission mount insert, so my judgement of the sound it puts out is a little skewed from what others may have stated (louder, but likely because of the header).
I'm coming into this one from the Remark Catback setup (the resonated midpipe and muffler delete axle back with the 4" double wall burnt tips) because with the UEL header I would probably cause my neighbors to show up with both earplugs and pitchforks, and as such needed something a tad quieter.
All in all the installation was not that difficult in regards to the new hardware, but I will say that if you have not removed your exhaust before you're probably going to want to have a sawzall handy for the nuts on the factory overpipe.
Once installed (again, with a UEL header) the sound is basically the definition of Boxer Rumble without the raspy tone inherent in the muffler delete. I did have to reuse the factory header gaskets (none in the box...have emailed for support so they are aware but new ones are less than $20 so it's no biggie) and the passenger side one is leaking a good bit, but even with the exhaust leak it is an entirely different sounding animal.
Exhaust note is not overbearing or droning, there is no issue with fitment as every individual section of the exhaust piping is adjustable (clamps and slip fit joints), and craftsmanship and appearance of the materials is second to none, and I have to say I am beyond thrilled with the purchase.
I would guess that this exhaust without the header would be no less beautiful in tone and I cannot recommend it enough.
Dollar for dollar I don't think you'll find a better muffled exhaust anywhere.

BUY THIS THING AND BE HAPPY.

Great throaty sound without annoying your neighbors.
If you're reading this I'm sure you watched 100 hours of YouTube videos listening to different exhaust. And if you're like me you're desperately looking for a better than stock setup that doesn't sound like a "ricey" weed eater. You're also worried about spending a fortune getting the wrong sound. Well you're in luck. I literally put this exhaust on in an hour, and I'm not a huge "car guy". Its been on my car for about 20 minutes and I had to get on here and write my review.

The sound: Little louder than stock, not wake up the neighbors loud, or cant hear the radio loud but you'll notice it. Nice throaty rumble, no high pitched whines or fast bubbling rumble like many more expensive options out there.

The labor for a beginner: If I can do this you can do this.

The stock exhaust has 2 bolts (14mm) and 2 nuts (12mm) and 5 rubber hangers you'll pull or push off (can be a pain, but just keep going, it'll pop off). Keep the bolts, you'll use them again. Its not heavy, I had my car on jack stands and literally let the exhaust rest on my chest when it came down.

The MXP exhaust, I started at the rear, used a little lubricant like WD40 (I used 3in1 oil) on the metal hook that fits in the rubber hangers and they slipped right in. The next part has a rubber hanger but I recommend pushing it as far into the rear as you can and putting on the final piece before putting it on the hanger. Don't tighten anything until the end. The final piece, push it on, put the two stock bolts back in, put that center piece on the hanger and tighten all the bolts and add the tips, you're done.
