    DETAILS:

    Perrin has just released their steering rack lockdown kit for the Scion FR-S and Subaru BRZ. The Perrin steering rack lockdown increases driver feedback and steering feel by creating a solid connection between the steering rack and chassis. 

    ENHANCED DRIVER FEEL 

    The PERRIN Steering Rack Lockdown creates a solid connection between the steering rack and chassis. This increases driver feel and communication from the front tires while navigating those twisty bends. 

    BETTER THAN BUSHINGS 

    The PERRIN Steering Rack Lockdown creates a solid connection between the frame and the steering rack, eliminating the soft flex of the OEM bushings. 
    Unlike other aftermarket steering rack bushings, which are merely stiffer than OEM bushings; PERRIN Lockdowns take this further with virtually zero flex. 

    DESIGN 

    Machined from solid 6061 T6 aluminum, the PERRIN Steering Rack Lockdown is perfectly designed to bolt directly to the sub-frame and the steering rack, solidly tying the steering rack to the frame of the car. 
    This solid connection eliminates the flexing and shifting of the rack. No special tools are required to install the lockdown. 

    NOISE, VIBRATION, AND HARSHNESS 

    PERRIN Steering Rack Lockdowns provide the benefit of an increased driver feel at the cost of adding some noise, vibration, and harshness (NVH). The increase in NVH is minimal and nearly impossible to feel.

    Easy install. Great results.
    The install only takes about 30 minutes. It greatly improves turn in and response in general. It does introduce some noise vibration and harshness but in a good way. This is the best modification I have done.

    Makes the great steering even better.
    First off Fteightysix provided excellent service as they always do so big thanks to them.

              The Perrin steering lockdown are easy to install minus the passenger side bushing. The catalytic converter on the front pipe blocked me from getting my impact wrench on the bolt and the universal joint socket had to be used at an odd angle. It is not overly difficult and took about an hour to install due to my universal socket snapping.

               As soon as I drove the car for the first time I immediately felt the difference and was glad I bought it. The steering became more responsive and now has an almost instant affect on the wheels. The one thing I noticed that I have yet to see any reviewer mention is the added steering weight. The steering now has a slight increase in weight that I feel makes the perfect feel. I like heavy steering similar to BMWs or the Lexus IS300 and with this addition it feels closer to those steering. There is a small downside of added noise and vibration that I notice but it easily tolerable. There is a complaint in the forms (ft86 club) about their hands becoming numb after extended driving on rough pavement.

    ENHANCED DRIVER FEEL
    Easy install, took 5 min after removing the tray. Had to get an alignment after. Noticed huge improvement in feedback. I rallyX and these are definitely among things that should have been OEM from the beginning. I have not noticed any excessive noise/vibration/harshness coming from these and I abuse the suspension on a daily.
