    The oil cooler lines now run to the top on the 86/BRZ application giving clearance for the 2017+ square air box.

     

    An engine oil cooler is a must have for any track or hot climate vehicle. The FA20 engine in the FR-S/BRZ is a finely tuned high compression engine and engine oil temperatures can spike to dangerous levels even on stock cars.

    The Jackson Racing Track Engine Oil Cooler Kit was developed in-house and designed to bring optimal oil cooling to the FA20 engine. The included engine oil cooler core has been put to the test on the street and track on the Jackson Racing FR-S test mule for thousands of miles, in the cold and the heat. The Jackson Racing Track Engine Oil Cooler Kit not only had to hold up to day to day driving, but also 100ºF track use by championship-winning racing drivers. We are proud to say this system works flawlessly, keeping oil temperatures below 240ºF on track, thus maintaining engine performance throughout on-track sessions.

    The Setrab 15 Row Oil Cooler used in the Jackson Racing Track Engine Oil Cooler kit features superior cooling and unmatched quality. Setrab cores use a unique internal design for improved oil cooling capability, and are fully brazed and pressure tested by Setrab Sweden for quality assurance.

    The Jackson Racing Track Engine Oil Cooler Kit utilizes the same quality engineered mounting system developed for the Jackson Racing supercharger system and uses solid factory-mounting locations, with no drilling/cutting needed.

    The NA version features a front mount cooler system that locates the engine oil cooler front and center in the bumper area, drawing outside air directly over the Setrab core.

    The JRSC version uses the Dual Oil Cooler mount system to locate the Rotrex oil cooler and engine oil cooler side by side behind the Jackson Racing intercooler, integrating seamlessly with the Jackson Racing supercharger system.

    Great Addition!
    While this unit is a little more expensive than some other units, it's worth it. Quality components and excellent install manual. I took my time and completed the install in about 2 hrs. The manual does need more detail regarding the relocation of the OAT sensor but I figured that one out. I have the Lensport Inlet Duct installed and there is still adequate clearance for airflow to the cooler. I also have the Canton Machine 25-284 oil filter installed and there is still adequate hood clearance after the sandwich plate and adapter is installed. Clearance is very tight between the oil filler cap and the OEM air box. I had to grind off the bump on the side of the filler cap to allow it unscrew without hanging up on the driver's side AN fitting. My Innovate oil temp gauge is running about one segment cooler, so the cooler appears to be working and the extra quart of oil will help as well. Jackson provides a new bracket for the windshield washer filler pipe to relocate it for hose clearance but I found I had to drill a small hold in the plastic bracket on the pipe and tie-wrap it to the a/c hose that's next to the pipe for adequate stability. All in all, worth the money and a clean install.
