A step above Yellowstuffs, EBC Bluestuffs provide enhanced high-speed braking performance and fade resistance without sacrificing in terms of street drivability. They make a suitable all-around street pad as well as an "intermediate" track pad, capable of withstanding moderate track duty with minimal need for waming up while keeping noise and dust to a minimum. If anything, the main noticeable differences in most cases will be sharper bite and pedal response.
"When we say 'Trackday' don’t underestimate this fantastic material.
The reason we draw users’ attention to the words Trackday (also known in the USA as lappings) because of this material’s fantastic ability to bed in quickly. Weekend fit and go drivers do not want to spend their laps bedding in brake pads.
Yet when used on more serious race track drivers this material delights and up to rotor temps of 0-550°C (Ambient – 1000°F) Bluestuff is the way to go. This material has been used by numerous spec series cup car racing groups in Europe." - EBC Brakes

Yellowstuff vs Bluestuff:
Both pads aim to acheive a balance between road and track performance, with as much fade resistance as possible while also generating as minimal noise and dust as possible. However, if we were to set up a heirarchy, Yellowstuffs would slot beneath its stablemates as the most well-rounded and streetable EBC pad of them all. They can still handle hard driving and light track duty, but will provide the best cold bite and the least noise and dust.
Bluestuffs slot right above, skewing its priorities towards better fade resistance and high-speed braking performance with only a marginal increase in dust and noise and a slight decrease in performance at cold temps, making them ideal for faster or heavier cars.
Both pads will serve most street/light track drivers well. However, any hardcore track enthusiast will be better served by EBC's RP-1 and RP-X race pads.
